Summer Loving Tour

Like most writers, I am a huge reader, and escaping the summer heat is the perfect excuse to stay in and read a book.  Summer Loving is the perfect length for summer reading, with stories short enough that you can read through them all in one lazy afternoon or, if you prefer, you can savor them one at a time, bite by bite.

But don’t expect this book to help you beat the heat—Summer Loving brings some serious heat of its own. This little book is packed with 20 sexy stories celebrating Summer in all its sultry glory—from sexy romps at the beach to steamy summer rains, from backyard gardens to far-away vacation destinations—and all points in between.  And just because these stories are all about Summer, don’t think they are all the same.  There is a lot of variety here and a few surprises as well, with each author putting his or her own sexy spin on the theme.

Some of the stand-out stories in this anthology are:  Jodi Griffin’s “Summer Surrender,” May Deva’s “Tell Me,” A.M. Hartnett’s “To Hell with Sunset,” Delilah Night’s “Baby, It’s Hot Outside,” and Thomas S. Roche’s “Hot Tomato” (nothing sexier than a perfectly ripe tomato, I always say).

Summer Loving is a fun book, edited by the remarkable Alison Tyler, and published by eXcessica with all proceeds going to help the marvelous SommerMarsden and her family’s fight against cancer.

It is always such a treat, I think, to be able to indulge in a little naughtiness while contributing to a great cause and Summer Loving allows you to do just that.

Those Boys

You know the ones…  Those beautiful boys you want from the start… Those delicious boys you just can’t say no to… Those rough-around-the-edges boys you give in to, again and again and again…

These are the kinds of boys we meet in Alison Tyler’s Those Boys.  Those rough-and-sexy boys that make you want to smack your lips with hunger, the boys that make you realize that Vanessa is one very lucky girl. But Sandy and Rem are more than just page-candy, they are solidly-built characters, and even in a short space, the author takes the time to fully flesh them out, giving them personalities and quirks that are distinctly their own.

The story is narrated by Sandy, told through his voice, and you notice at once that he is fully aware of the individual needs of each of his pets, and able to respond accordingly.  He is patient with both Rem and Vanessa, when patience is called for, and he knows how far to push them, taking from them what they have to offer and giving each what they truly need.  While Sandy's desires drive the story—as you might expect from a true dom—equal attention is given to the experiences of Rem and Vanessa, and this character building is one of the things that make Ms. Tyler’s stories so compelling.  There are real relationships here, and the characters share a full range of experiences and emotions as this luscious trio works to build their relationship which—as we’ve come to expect—includes lots and lots of steamy sex.

Those Boys is a sexy follow-up to Those Girls and while it’s not necessary to read the first story before reading Those Boys, it is definitely worth the read. Rumor has it that Ms. Tyler is working on a Sandy-based novel and (like so many others) I, for one, cannot wait!

Never Enough Time

Crazy busy right now doing a million things at once. It seems like the more I try to accomplish, the more behind I get. This weekend I'm reading submissions for an anthology, working on three different works in progress and trying to develop a new project or two.

All that and, for some reason, I can't seem to sleep. I've been up for most of the last week and I'm barely coherent which is making it even harder for me to get anything done. So I'm off to grab yet another cup of coffee and then I'm going to wrestle errant pages and an author or twelve.

The Art of Procrastination

We all do it...

When we're supposed to be writing that sexy new story...  When we're supposed to be reading the next round of submissions...  When we're supposed to be updating our blog...

Right now I'm in one of those moods and I'm easily distracted.  Caught between wanting to get something done and looking for any excuse to waste some time.  Instead of writing, I've been playing with photos and cleaning out boxes.  Because apparently decades-old paperwork is much more important than multiple looming deadlines.

What about you?  What do you like to do instead of whatever you are supposed to be doing?

I'm going to force myself to get back to work....  But, first, I think I'll take the dog for a walk.  Or maybe I'll go bake a cake.

Peeking In

Just taking a moment to peek in before I jump back into all the tasks at hand.  It seems like I always have a million things going on at once.  Here's what's I'm doing right exactly now:

  • Editing, Lots of it!
  • 3 Works in Progress (I am always rotating, swapping, juggling)
  • Planning a new photo shoot (or two)

How about you?  What are you up to?
